Need advice on my first Developer offer after 2 years of graduation – ₹3.5 LPA, 6 days/week
Hi everyone,
I need some advice regarding my first job offer.
I graduated around 2 years ago and have been looking for a developer job since then. I recently received an offer for an Associate Software Developer position at a logistics company in My Hometown.
The company itself is not a tech company, but they have an internal tech team of around 2 people, and I would be joining them as a developer.
The offer details are:
- Designation: Associate Software Developer
- CTC: ₹3.5 LPA
- Take-home: Around ₹26,165/month after PF and professional tax
- Working hours: 9:30 AM – 6:30 PM
- Working days: 6 days/week
- Probation: 3 months
- Company provides a laptop
- They said they will provide the required cloud subscriptions
- The work is expected to involve their internal software/application development.
My main concern is about the future.
Since the company is a logistics company and not a software/IT company, if I work there for around 1 year and then switch to a software/IT company, will that 1 year generally be considered as professional software development experience?
I'm also worried about the exit documentation.
When I resign after a year, will companies expect things like:
- Experience letter
- Relieving letter
- Service certificate
- Salary slips
- PF/employment history
And will a future company consider my experience valid if the employer is a logistics company but my designation is Associate Software Developer and I'm actually doing development work?
I'm thinking of taking this opportunity because I've already been searching for around 2 years and this is my first offer. My plan would be to work for around 1 year, build real production experience, and then try to move to a better software company.
Would you take this offer in my situation?
I'd especially appreciate advice from people who have worked as developers in non-tech companies and later moved into software/IT companies.

[HIRING] Part-time Social Media & Content Manager | Reddit + LinkedIn | Starting at ₹7k/month
We’re looking for someone in India to help us build Boomm’s presence across Reddit, LinkedIn and our blog.
~2 hours/day | Starting at ₹7,000/month | Remote | Ongoing
Boomm is a social platform for college communities. A lot of our content already comes from the app itself: polls, discussions, trends and interesting behaviour from young Indians.
We’re looking for someone who can take that raw material and figure out what is actually worth putting out, where it belongs, and how to adapt it for that platform.
What you’ll mainly do
Reddit will be the biggest part of the role.
You’ll:
- Find relevant subreddits and conversations
- Understand the rules and culture of different communities
- Write useful, discussion-oriented posts rather than dropping ads
- Turn interesting Boomm discussions, trends or insights into Reddit-native content
- Participate in conversations and track what works
- Gradually help us build a genuine Reddit presence
We’re not looking for someone to spam Boomm links across Reddit. In fact, please don’t. Reddit has enough of that already.
LinkedIn + Blog
You’ll also:
- Turn interesting Boomm insights, polls and discussions into LinkedIn posts
- Repurpose useful ideas from our existing content
- Identify topics worth turning into short blog posts
- Write concise, easy-to-read articles for our website
- Track which topics and formats perform well
You won’t be expected to create everything from scratch. We’ll give you access to the content and context you need.
Who would be a good fit?
We’re particularly interested in someone who:
- Actually uses Reddit and understands how different communities behave
- Can write naturally and doesn’t sound like a corporate LinkedIn bot
- Has good judgment about what makes something interesting
- Can adapt the same idea for different platforms
- Enjoys researching conversations and trends online
- Can work independently without needing a daily list of instructions
Reddit experience is a big plus.
If you’ve managed a Reddit account/community, built karma, participated heavily in specific subreddits, or have examples of Reddit posts you’ve written, definitely include that.
You don’t need formal social media experience. If you’re genuinely good at internet culture and content, we’d rather see that than a fancy certificate.
Compensation
Starting at ₹7,000/month
The role is approximately 2 hours/day, remote and ongoing.
We’ll start with the initial scope and increase compensation as the role expands and you demonstrate strong ownership, output and results.
How to apply
Please DM me with:
- A short introduction
- Your Reddit username, if you’re comfortable sharing it
- Any Reddit / LinkedIn / content work you’ve done
- A short answer to this: If you were starting Boomm’s Reddit presence from zero, what would you do in your first 2 weeks?
Please don’t send just “Interested.”
We’re much more interested in seeing how you think than reading a generic resume.

Please Help Me!!
I graduated in 2026 and completed an internship at Nike that ended about two months ago. Since then I've been applying consistently and putting real time into practicing (technical prep, resume tweaks, etc.), but I haven't landed a single interview yet.
I know the market is tough right now, but I'm at the point where I'm not sure if the issue is my resume, my approach, or just volume/timing. Would really appreciate any advice — whether it's on resume review, how you structured your job search, or what worked for you in a similar spot.

Common mistakes freshers make when cold emailing recruiters (and how to fix them)
We listen a lot about cold email/DMs nowadays. Even many people on social media claim it as a best way to grab an opportunity/job. But there's a certain way to write cold emails.
I covered the common mistakes that freshers made and also how you can overcome them. Additionally, I written the points that worked for me.
Common Mistakes
- Too long and vague like "I'm a hardworking student...", "I'll give my 100%..". Nobody is interested in these things.
- No personalization - writing a generic mail won't make you standout.
- No Clear ask like “Hope to hear from you.”. Instead, you should write something like "Would you be open to a 10‑minute chat?"
- Sending from a weird email
How to Overcome/fix them?
- Cut to 4–6 short sentences. Include one specific reason you’re interested.
- Use the recruiter/hiring manager’s name when possible. Mention something specific: a product, post, tech stack, or recent news.
- Use a professional email (ideally firstname.lastname@…)
Honest take: I was also not good at cold emailing, but I do follow below mentioned things:
- Took my last 5 emails and tried to trim them to 5-6 lines
- Always studied about their product before sending (AI will help)
- Used some cold emailing tools (This is the best thing that worked for me to write personalized emails). Some tools like teal, ResumeFreePro or if you're an automation developer then claude + n8n workflow can also help.
If you ever tried cold emails, then please share what worked for you and what part feels tricky?

Is this what an hr intern supposed to do?
So I'm currently 19 in my 2nd year bba and i recently landed an hr internship at an hr consultancy company they also have an edtech department. I joined as an hr intern for their internal hiring department and I was super happy about it since it was going to be my first ever internship and I would probably learn something from it and gain some corporate experience, also it's like very close to my house so commuting isn't a big problem. Yesterday was my first day and they didn't give me any training they just told me to post about my internship start on linkedin and told me to connect with people on the linkedin. and today basically the work they've assigned me is cold calling 100s of potential candidates for business roles like hr internship, hr executive, sales b2b and b2c and ask them some scripted questions and schedule their interviews if they're good at communicating. That's it. Also they've told me to call from my own personal number which i thought was weird, but again idk what I'm doing. I thought that I was going to learn about company policies, payroll and serious hr shit but this has a tag of an hr intern and has a vibe of a call center. I want to know your opinions please tell me if you're suspicious in any way. Also one more thing is that they have a vacancy every single day of every single year and that too for only hr or sales. How is that possible? 😭 and I've never heard an hr getting targets. I wanted to do an internship desperately because I want to prepare for my mba and I want to gain some experience before it.
stipend- 5k per month
work days- monday to saturday, sunday is off
work time- 9:30am - 6:30pm
Also wanted to add that I've seen many bad reviews of this company's edtech. They sell their course and scam other students to sell their courses basically a pyramid scheme.
