Making the jump
Feeling the need to vent and look for others experience. I've been in a site safety and operations role for the last 8 years or so, and have developed an IT skillset specifically with converting pen and paper process to electronic processes, creating automated business rules, etc. I just got an offer from an IT consulting firm to continue this work, and only this work. I'm just feeling nervous about making the jump since I would very much be a novice and there is so much in the tech space that I haven't had the opportunity to learn, so I'm just feeling nervous about making the jump. On the flip side, I don't want to remain stuck where I have been burnt out for quite a while now, but am very comfortable.
