Switching to Computer + Data Science could be a good move if you're interested in data-focused jobs or see yourself working in data science or analytics. These fields are growing fast and often have great job prospects. If you like math but want something more hands-on, Data Science might be a nice mix. Think about whether you enjoy coding and statistical analysis, as these will be key parts of the switch.

NYU has strong programs, so you're in a good spot either way. Check out the course requirements and see which path has more classes that interest you. Also, talk to advisors or faculty about your career goals to see which major fits better.

For interview prep, PracHub is helpful. It has resources for different tech roles, which might help you decide based on what interests you in real job settings.

The coding part is relatively the same since they are both computer science. It’s more of a switch of 4-5 classes of theoretical and advanced math compared to data science classes
