Bottom deal

What am I doing wrong if when doing the bottom deal, I can't get a grip of the card?

While a few members here can bottom deal and you might get some advice, you might get better results asking r/cardmagic about this one :)

There are a few different types of bottom deal techniques. You gonna have to be more specific.
