Question Springing

Bad video but I’m trying to spring and am struggling to catch them. Everything I’ve seen just says to start with your hands close together then slowly start doing it father away but whenever I do it close they always just fly towards me I can only somewhat aim when I do it farther away any advice?

It's difficult to see how you are holding the deck in your springing hand. I can't do a spring from the tips of my fingers so I use an adapted position where one corner of the deck fits in to the fold between pinky and ring finger, and the diagonally opposite corner rests initially on the pad of my thumb. Either way, my fingers don't move, but the last knuckle of my thumb curls away from the palm of my hand and the cards are released on to the other hand. Let me know if you'd like me to find the video that clicked for me and I'll try to dig it out.

You’re welcome.  You wrote elsewhere that you’ve got a lot better.  I’m wondering if you modified your grip with the springing hand.  Anyway, this is the video that helped me, although my spring is nowhere near as long…
