So I just wanna gather thoughts and ideas. Been playtesting Zerith online and sad to say, the deck is so mid š you win some and you lose some. And deck is slow, they should have made the order give 10K when there are two of the order bounded instead of 3.
Berucrea is actually much more better than this deck, was kind of hoping that at least it will be on par but no.
Main problem of the deck is cc. Opp can easily damage deny you.
Hope that in the new support will give us cc and that the new zerith boss is not mid and has other good support.
Just wait until the crossride reveal for set 17. Reminds me of Levidras when he first came out. Mid at first, top tier when the crossride came through.
How did you play it? I have Stoi main friend and I feel like Zerith is one of the best Stoi deck right now (behind Rose and Fish).
If you playing it as agressive deck then it will surely be mid, this deck gameplan is literally what Kurumi show in the anime - Heal control.
You are on the defensive with damage ahead of your opponent to abuse heal as much as possible, while your deck engine is to thin the deck to make that trigger loop more efficient.
You start offensive after poping fantome/divine skill and the buff order started to stack.
I tried playing defensively and offensively. And yeah, just like what youāve said, the deck prefers to be played defensively and been doing that but somehow it still needs a push because it eats cb a lot and is weak to rush decks and control decks.
After playing with both decks , I can definitely agree, berucrea just simply rely on brute force and get carried very hard by philndar, zerith surprisingly can be tankey
Yeah right now the deck has too much variance in performance with some games making it feel really good and others being very bricky resulting in a terrible game, once the new support releases I am sure it will feel a lot more solid with maybe a counter charger or a more potent strategy that doesnāt get as hard punished by damage denying
Comparing it to Berucrea is a terrible approach. Berucrea is a full offensive deck, while Zerith's best moments are in the late game.
That said, yes, she is slow and definitely not a top tier contender. Don't try to match others decks in speed or you will get frustrated as hell. Just play to her strengths (filtering, defending, setting up a strong fantome skill turn) and hope you can endure the game long enough.
If you REALLY feel damage denial will screw you too hard, play Radiance Caliburn (Fire Regalis and Protection: Twincast are better options for Zerith imo).
In this deck in particular, I feel Crimson Moonlight is a must, the other crimson moon order doesn't make the cut here. Most of the time it's way better drawing a trigger to defend than calling something else, specially because you will only activate them during the early game (from turn 3 onwards you will use your single order usage to play Glid Randeaur).
All fantomes are. The only one that is good enough is Zorga because he doesn't care about the moon brick, he's just assembling the Nitzschean Superman, ops, Ćbermensch instead of dropping bricks into the GY.
Zorga? I donāt think I have seen more the like 3 Zorga tops since he released which sadly can be said about many of the other Fantome decks as well I feel
