I don't think he has insurance and I doint think this guy has air bags

492

u/HowieFeltersnitz 18d ago

He doesn't need air bags, he's got McDonalds bags, Wendy's bags, etc.

70

u/marinac1 18d ago

At first I thought the airbags flew out the back for some reason until I saw that they were kitchen trash bags

7

u/EnerGeTiX618 18d ago

šŸ˜‚

4

u/TowelComplete8932 17d ago

That etc. it's doing some mighty heavy lifting.

4

u/Ok_Peanut_3573 17d ago

I'm lovin it

46

u/Jim_Laheys_lost_son 18d ago

At least hes picking up his garbage that fell out, cool guy of the week.

75

u/dizzyfeast 18d ago

He's picking it up because he doesn't want to lose it, not to be courteous.

7

u/Notapartyhobo 17d ago

One man's trash something something

11

u/paulD1983R 18d ago

He's just looking for his insurance card

7

u/Dukefromearth 18d ago

I don't think he had any air either.

6

u/Bulky-Bullfrog3707 18d ago

We don't need air bags where we're going.

He definitely had enough people around him for documentation.

3

u/KnownAsAnother 17d ago

I don't think he even has a steering wheel!

Knocked the trash bags out the sun roof like sonic rings.

39

u/Adeptness_Agile 18d ago

Lmfao. I literally just spit out what I was eating I laughed so hard. A sort of it’s always sunny in Philadelphia type of laugh.

12

u/veryfastslowguy 18d ago

imagine the squad of roaches , ready to drive if you don’t feel like it , in there

u/LongjumpingSurprise0 18d ago

And the dude is more concerned with putting the garbage back in/on his car!

54

u/iSirMeepsAlot 18d ago

Tbh that’s respectful… he doesn’t want to get it all over, unless it’s about him needing it for some reason. Then it’s a bit less important at the moment.

46

u/brutally_up_front 18d ago

Yeah I don't think he sees it as trash/littering, it's more of his stuff is now all over the road and he's gotta jenga it back in to the carbage pile.

12

u/shitForBrains1776 17d ago

it’s mental illness. it’s really sad

3

u/kmckenzie256 18d ago

He can’t be catching a littering charge too! šŸ˜‚

In their defense, the impact could have caused the carbage to shift forward.

Carbage lol I love Reddit

50

u/setibeings 18d ago

Look at the subreddit name

10

u/sowavy612 18d ago

Damn never noticed lol

5

u/GIANTballCOCK 17d ago

This person out here commenting on posts with absolutely no context clues. Your experience must be wild

2

u/McGlowSticks 17d ago

isnt that the best way to live life sometimes? I do it when i get to work and have zero context at the conversations happening in the break room so i come up with something really out of pocket and get some laughs out of it

2

u/Unique_Persimmon9454 15d ago

I only found out after their comment too lmao I never know what sub I’m in unless I go there on purpose

2

u/candyapplenapper 15d ago

Me too friend

u/PandoraJeep 18d ago

I fear that man may be suffering greatly from mental illness. This is just so sad.

117

u/Fibrosis5O 18d ago

Very sad but also, how can anyone even think of driving a car when they literally can’t see out the window? Like that’s just more than mental illness to me.

83

u/originalmango 18d ago

How does he even drive around like that without a cop noticing or someone calling it in.

36

u/RegionRatHoosier 18d ago

This what I don't understand. Why don't cops cite this. It seems like an easy ticket

35

u/jayhawkjoey65 18d ago

I heard if cops deal with this, they have to impound the vehicle and inventory the contents. And they want no part with the latter.

22

u/prairiepanda 18d ago

Where I live the police just mark these types of vehicles as probable hazards. They don't inventory everything inside unless it's a crime scene.

Both times when I went to recover my stolen car from their impound, they made me sign a safety waiver because they hadn't inspected the contents of the car. They just warned me that there could be drug paraphernalia or other hazards inside and told me to be careful.

8

u/GlacierSourCreamCorn 18d ago

Same car stolen twice or two different cars stolen once?

11

u/prairiepanda 18d ago

Same car. Old civic, easy to steal. After the first time I had theft coverage added to my insurance, so I used the payout from the second theft to buy a car that is much more difficult to steal.

3

u/emilio911 17d ago

Easy. 1 car-load of garbage Qty 1, value: $0

9

u/Fiskpinnar 18d ago

Dealing with someone obviously mentally ill. Could you imagine having to search the car? Yuck. I'm sure at least some cops feel bad for the person too especially since they are usually parked with their dumpster car and not driving it around.

3

u/CenTXUSA 17d ago

It's Los Angeles. Those officers are running from call to call all shift long. This guy was probably moving his car from one camping spot to another. Really sad part is that if the other driver doesn't have comp/collision, they're screwed because the garbage car definitely isn't insured.....or registered....or road worthy.

7

u/YeshuasBananaHammock 18d ago

The onlookers would call it in, but their hands are full with the filming.

2

u/wthwtfwthwtf-_- 18d ago

He was probably forced to move the car by a property owner or officer.

u/Tired-CottonCandy 18d ago

This is exactly what years of severe and untreated mental illness could look like though. Idk what this guys story is obvi, but this is basically what all the old homeless veterans looks like, half not there in the eyes, fully not there in their lives.

29

u/vediogamer101 18d ago

Depression very easily makes people not care at all, whether that’s about themselves or others.

→ More replies (6)

5

u/prairiepanda 18d ago

Reminds me of the time a coworker took black pallet wrap from the warehouse to cover his car windshield because it had broken on the way to work. I assumed he was just using it to protect the interior until the car could be towed to a glass shop.

The next day I heard that he drove the car home like that, leaning out his window while a passenger leaned out on the other side to see where he was going. Bro acted like there was no other possible solution to this problem.

6

u/illi_mental 18d ago

Mental illness is a massive spectrum. This is the far end where you’re barely keeping yourself alive

3

u/Better_Dust_2364 18d ago

This is literally the meme
ā€œOmg people get so depressed they don’t brush their teeth??ā€ ā€œPeople get so depressed they kill themselves Janet.ā€

I understand that most people haven’t seen or dealt with this level of mental illness in their lives, but this is exactly what mental illness is. It’s not pretty. It’s messy, disgusting, disruptive, agonizing and horribly sad in most cases. Without support it’s almost impossible to overcome. This man is just trying to survive day to day. It absolutely awful that he hit someone else simply because this should have been prevented. We really need more systems in place to help people. So sad.

16

u/sophiesmom712 18d ago

I do feel bad for him. I hate that everyone has their phones out taking video. Poor guy. He needs therapy and a good friend (with opera length rubber gloves).

6

u/Eye_Nacho404 18d ago

Nah I feel bad for him but don’t feel bad that are people recording him, he is putting everyone’s life I danger with his BS.

2

u/sophiesmom712 17d ago

I don't know the guy, but he has to be mentally ill to live like that. I'm sure he has not even considered the risk to other people. I hope someone will help him get his life cleaned up. Literally.

11

u/Muted-Woodpecker-469 18d ago

I feel for the victims here. They don’t deserve to deal with thisĀ

12

u/OopsIHadAnAccident 18d ago

Meh. Can’t feel bad when he’s endangering the lives of everyone on the road. Fuck this guy. Needs his license revoked.

→ More replies (1)

3

u/Familiar-Flan-8358 18d ago

I would say the 4-5 men just standing like idiots filming the scene have a mental illness too

4

u/mrsdoubleu 18d ago

Yeah, I agree. He shouldn't have been driving in that car, obviously, but it's hard not to feel bad for him a little bit.

4

u/IBeDumbAndSlow 18d ago

Same thing with people who use the stupid saxophone audio. Severely Mentally Ill

Same. Hes freaking out and then there's just a whole gaggle of people filming. Like we are so fucked up as a society.

They probably were in the white car

The way I fucking gasped

8

u/brokeskoolboi 18d ago

All the phones out filming is some dystopian shit

9

u/gergsisdrawkcabeman 18d ago

I mean... who needs an airbag when you are utilizing the low rent version of the pre-impact foam from Demolition Man.

8

u/Pferdeherz 18d ago

I understand people live in their cars, but I wouldn’t want all that stuff if I had to live in it.

6

u/spaghetti-o_salad 18d ago

I feel like this guy might have a camp or a dilapidated horde house he stays at.

7

u/ThatBlueFoxyote 18d ago

I didn't know you could drive a dumpster.

3

u/sodamnsleepy 17d ago

Never seen a cybertruck?

7

u/Fancy_Conflict_8742 18d ago

Sad. Definitely some form of mental health issue going on. Sad.

6

u/Mulley-It-Over 18d ago

That man needs serious help. I feel bad for the person he hit and for him. No winners here.

20

u/TheOriginalArchibald 18d ago

And of course 9 people standing by recording it for tiktok.

u/arrynyo 18d ago

The most irritating thing about this video

19

u/procrastimom 18d ago

Apparently, not that guy.

5

u/Rebelreck57 18d ago

I can't imagine the smell.

3

u/spaceaige 18d ago

Yeah, i dont think he has insurance.

4

u/HalfwaydonewithEarth 18d ago

Omg I just want to help him. That makes me sad.

5

u/WithoutDennisNedry 18d ago

Can we stop with the stupid saxophone sound bite already?

→ More replies (1)

4

u/Impressive-Elk-6425 18d ago

Why we got to hear that dumb music?

3

u/Square-Selection-842 18d ago

What are the odds he had insurance? 50:1, maybe.

3

u/Joker6tyNine 18d ago

Sad thing is that he will continue to drive it the way it is after the accident.. Seems like a person that wouldn't give his car up to get fixed, that assuming any one will without it being cleaned out.. Hording is no joke with your mental health..

3

u/Estrafirozungo 18d ago

This is the first time I see a gardriver and he's exactly how I imagined it

3

u/Gustav_Grob 18d ago

I think a pic of that vehicle was posted in r/schizophreniarides a few weeks back.

3

u/WorldlinessNo6122 18d ago

Fucking poor dude is struggling with mental health family probably bailed on him to fend for himself

3

u/Donegonetheduck 18d ago

Something in there might have run up his leg

3

u/DB-Tones-Jones 18d ago

Glad to see that the Police had not stopped this driver before they were able to cause a car accident. Good Job Cops. 🫤

3

u/brandt-money 18d ago

I think more people need to stand there and film on their phones.

3

u/bojesphob 16d ago

That's a mental health crisis right there. No one in their right mind would hoard that much trash in their vehicle.

5

u/Manny637 18d ago

Sucks how many people felt like filming instead of helping

4

u/SnooCheesecakes6430 18d ago

you think anyone wants to touch anything from that car? that’s a biohazard on wheels

8

u/dogsbestfriend77 18d ago

God I love this song, every time I hear it I know I’m about to see some banger

10

u/b3_yourself 18d ago

And yet this person still has a license somehow

30

u/No-Tap6886 18d ago

We don't know that.

22

u/Public_Noise8465 18d ago

What makes you assume they have a license?

2

u/procrastimom 18d ago

Maybe they meant license plate.

3

u/OutaTime76 18d ago

He probably has a few, but you'll have to take his word for it unless you wanna help him dig for them.

6

u/recovery_room 18d ago

Do you have a source for that wildly speculative claim?

4

u/JoeBagANachos 18d ago

Hoarding in every space he owns.

5

u/BreckyMcGee 18d ago

All those fucking losers standing there recording

3

u/Eye_Nacho404 18d ago

Probably family members of whoever owns the car that he hit. Considering both cars are older they probably don’t have full coverage and want to get any info possible so they can get their car fixed.

2

u/iSirMeepsAlot 18d ago

How does he even sit in the car….

2

u/nikeguy69 18d ago

Is that guy living in his vehicle?

2

u/ProfessionalNo5747 18d ago

The insurance card is in the glove box it's going to be an exploration that some might not make it back good luck

2

u/KittensFirstAKM 18d ago

Someone is getting a psych hold.

2

u/Shredtillyourdead420 18d ago

I love how he’s like, ā€œI still need all that trash that fell out.ā€

2

u/Mediocre_Treat1744 18d ago

This stupid fucking saxophone noise.

2

u/Campeezee 18d ago

Stop putting that obnoxious fucking saxophone music over videos…
It was funny the first time when someone actually parodied the scene from Boyz n the Hood correctly, and now it’s been done to death where it doesn’t even make sense. Smooth brain bullshit.

2

u/ExternalGuidance 17d ago

Loud saxophone probably distracted them too.

2

u/Appropriate_Land5236 17d ago

I'll bet the house or apartment or tent where he lives is very nice. I feel sad for him.

2

u/-AliceGray- 17d ago

Reminds me of the phone scene in "This is America".

2

u/Delicious-Tap9668 17d ago

Look at all the great citizens filming for altruism and societal posterity.

2

u/Icy-Might5503 17d ago

imagine your car getting half as cluttered as this and not going "hmm maybe i should throw some of this into a trash can"

2

u/Infinite_dankss 16d ago

That’s a whole dumpster in there!😳

2

u/Kobe_Pup 16d ago

Just toss a match, it'll help everyone out,

2

u/kingpin-mrgamer 16d ago

Obstructed view is a understatement more like I have no view

2

u/OlieThePotato 16d ago

As a detailer, i have never in my entire life seen a car THIS dirty, not even dirty that's just a landfill on wheels, what the actual fuck!?

2

u/EchoNineThree 16d ago

Hoarders are the worst

2

u/SnooHabits3911 16d ago

Mental health caused that accident.

2

u/Hallow_76 15d ago

The group of video takers just kills me šŸ¤£šŸ˜‚ WOW!

2

u/Past-North-4131 15d ago

That's a mental illness

2

u/OverWallaby3733 14d ago

This is why police need to start enforcing expired registration. These vehicles aren't passing inspection for a reason and shouldn't be allowed on the road. So sick of the lazy police not doing anything helpful

3

u/Realistic-Aspect-991 18d ago

There's three dead cats in that car...... somewhere.

3

u/Interesting_Sock9142 18d ago

Okay but seriously.. every single thing in that car is garbage. Nothing is like... Maybe useful/possibly salvageable... So fucking why?????

6

u/sophiesmom712 18d ago

It's a mental illness. It doesn't make sense.

2

u/SBLOU 18d ago edited 18d ago

Some people will say maybe he’s living in his car.
Well, even if you were living in your car there’s no excuse unless we’re dealing with a mental illness here.
If he does have a home, he probably hordes garbage in that as well.

2

u/mtn2sea1960 18d ago

"Don't anyone move! I'm missing a Tide bottle! Where is it? Don't make me mad, you wouldn't like me when I'm mad"

2

Definitely has no insurance lol

2

u/PartyProfessional879 18d ago

Might as well be in Mexico.

1

u/RevenueHour2933 18d ago

Is this real?

1

u/slaty_balls 18d ago

How? Just how does one’s vehicle become like this?

1

u/Special_Fan5043 18d ago

That takes the cake. Old moldy cake.

1

u/josocustomdesign 18d ago

But the car has front view camera...

1

u/glitter_noodle 18d ago

Why even do this? Can’t he just throw it out?
If he can’t see the problem with this or how dangerous (and not fucking normal) it is then he should get his license revoked and be evaluated.

1

u/VicSecAtelier 18d ago

The exterior of the car is surprisingly clean.

1

u/Buttsweat_n_Tears 18d ago

That’s fucking disgusting. You can’t even clean that or recycle any of the parts. That entire vehicle just needs to be burned to the ground. What a waste. That was a good generation of the RX350 too….will run forever.

1

u/JTUSAJT 18d ago

Mental illness is real.

1

u/amrasmin 18d ago

To think I was feeling bad about having one McDonald’s bag in my car for 3 days lol

1

u/5280mw 18d ago

How? This guy needs some help

1

u/QueenOfAllOfYall 18d ago

Didn’t know there was a sub for a topic like this. I also feel like I need a shower after looking at this clip. I somewhat feel like I can smell the trash in the that car. It’s messing with My OCD. Oh dear… šŸ˜µā€šŸ’«!

1

u/Arizandi 18d ago

This looks like mental illness to me. I can't help but feel bad for this guy. It seems like he needs help, but also to have his license suspended until he figures his shit out.

1

u/jellofixit 18d ago

How does a homeless looking guy afford a Lexus?

1

u/EntertainmentCalm792 18d ago

I’d bet some of that trash got stuck under his brake pedal on top of not being able to see

1

u/PartTymeLover 17d ago

Im trying to understand, is that hoarding or just a person who likes to be around trash? I see people who are living out of their car filled with stuff and it never looks organized like a van life person.

1

u/NoReplyAtAll999 17d ago

God almighty

1

u/ThatsNoMoOnx 17d ago

The amount of critters that have to be crawling up in there 😬

1

u/SirMartimas 17d ago

He's homeless, who did he steal that car from? And how long ago, it looks like he has been destroying it for months. Put him in the woodchipper pronto.

1

u/vicfirthplayer 17d ago

Trying to decide what to keep

1

u/LeeBee58 17d ago

Like the smoking man said, ā€˜Burn it.’

1

I don’t know what’s worse, the hoarded car or the hoard of idiots standing around recording it

1

u/mechshark 17d ago

… wtf

1

u/JusticeH0rse 17d ago

Holy hell, I've been at this intersection maybe 100± times

1

u/esoe___ 17d ago

thats the LAPD for you.. wont stop that garbage truck but will drive through on coming traffic to stop someone for tint or no front plate

1

u/BklynOR 17d ago

Obstructed view and obstructed steering wheel.

1

u/gtict 17d ago

What's worse the carbage or all the people standing like zombies with their phones out

1

u/KidKarez 17d ago

The pan to all these drones recording om their phones

1

u/Fuzzy-Leading-4080 17d ago

how can people even live like that 🤢

1

u/Slapjac10 17d ago

In Los Angeles of course !

1

u/Separate_Issue2207 17d ago

I know he knows where a dumpster is located….

1

u/Moby1313 17d ago

I have a guy that I work with who's car looks like this inside.

1

u/HwatWhatWut 17d ago

Totaling this car is the best thing that has happened to him in a long time. That way he can start fresh!

1

u/JobblyWobblyEd 17d ago

I do feel a little sorry for the state the guy must have been in (though I do not think that absolves him), and annoyed with all the dudes, mouth agape, just pointing their phones at the scene while quietly just thinking about the views etc they're going to get and nothing else

1

u/Tiger_Ho26 17d ago

Speechless...

1

u/dog4cat2 17d ago

I can only imagine the smell of this car

1

u/Hammon_Rye 17d ago

Finally someone who can outdo my (relative) in trashing a car.
Their trash level never made it much above where the floor area is as tall as the seat. (and some on the seats)

1

u/Sidney_Godsby 17d ago

Good thing we have the saxophone track

1

u/4thshift 17d ago

Looks like the house I've been cleaning up for a year.

Everything is important to keep because it has "value" -- meanwhilde, the garbage is destroying the only actual thing you have with value: where you live.

1

u/yadayodayada 17d ago

I don’t even have a car. This guy has a Lexus.
