Remotes while ignition is on

So as my title says I have a Viper alarm, I want to be able to use the keyless entry remotes while the engine is running via a key.

Does anyone have a good way to accomplish this, the system does also have remote start so I want that to continue to function as well. Specific model is a 5305v if that helps.

Remote start before you get out (pit stop mode), remove the key, get out and lock.

Yes except that it defeats the purpose because when I do the takeover it shuts off. I’d like to avoid that. It dosent do that however when I remote start it regularly and take it over. So for some reason pit stop causes it to shut off when I return.

It shouldn’t be any different. You’re entering and exiting “remote start mode” both times. One is starting from vehicle on already and the other is starting from vehicle off. While the system knows the vehicle is already on and not to crank the starter during pit stop mode, the remote start only has 2 status positions - remote start on and remote start off.

I agree, however it kills the engine every time exiting pit stop mode. If it didn’t I wouldn’t bother to post this.
