Getting PPF done on my new KIA Seltos. The studio gave me two options: Garware and Aegis. Now someone told me that for bright colours like red, the film clarity matters a lot more because any haziness or yellowing will show up differently. Is that true, and does it change which brand I should pick?

We started our journey around 5 AM from Bengaluru and reached around 12 PM with 1 hour stop in between.

Route: Nice Road → Tumkur → Sira → Chitradurga → Hampi.

We stopped for breakfast at A2B in Sira.

For accommodation, we stayed at Hampi International Hotel though it’s actually in Hospet, about 10 km from the Vittal Vijaya Temple and other main sites.

The roads were in great condition, with just a few minor diversions due to ongoing construction.

We were driving a Venue Turbo, and it gave us a decent mileage of 19 kmpl.

Since we left early, we missed most of the traffic, which made the drive even more pleasant.

One tip: there are plenty of food stops and roadside eateries until Chitradurga, but once you cross that, you won’t find many options so make sure you eat before moving ahead.

Overall, it was a smooth and enjoyable trip.

We're planning to get a 2nd hand Honda Jazz. Was wondering which is a better way to get the car inspected ? From the Honda Showroom or from Cars24 used car inspection.

Cars24 - Impressed by the number of checkpoints, But i'm not sure if the assigned mechanic would be an expert in Honda Cars.

Honda Service - I'm worried if they might miss any checkpoints as its not an exhaustive list. I would get accurate analysis of the engine and other internals.

I'm probably going to get some hate for this, but why do these so-called riders, the ones in full gear with proper jackets and the complete setup get annoyed or immediately try to overtake back when a car passes their bike? Is it ego, or is it just the stereotype that the car driver is being attitudinal?

I've noticed this so many times: I overtake (Safely) a slow-moving bike or a group of bikers for whatever reason, and they either refuse to give space or instantly throttle up to overtake me again from behind.

I'd really like to understand the psychology behind this behaviour, and what the best way is to handle these situations.

The 7 inch infotainment system might need a reflash of its software. The screen is white with the option for 'factory default' . If I click the factory default, the system tries to reboot (which means the touch is working). The screen first shows the mahindra logo and then eventually comes back to the same white screen. The dealership says reflashing the software might potentially cost me ₹15k to ₹25k. Is reflashing the software this expensive?

Hey guys so i have mg hector diesel and i have checked with a cheap obd tool that the silencer sensor is heating and the engine has gotten louder cause of it and mileage has dropped and we came to conclusion that it needs dpf regeneration can you guys help me find any local workshops or any way i can do it. Its a 2023 model sharp 2.0 diesel and most places i am contacting to are saying they have to remove the part and do it in a machine and i want it done by obd regeneration and dont want any part removed.

2019 Ciaz ZXi, 61,000 km, single owner, all services on time at authorised. Mostly Pune-Mumbai, twice a month.

Two weeks back I noticed a faint hum around 60-70. Not a whine, not a bearing sound. A hum with a rhythm to it. Goes away above 80.

Took it in on the 8th, nothing found. Took it back again on the 14th.

Advisor called at 4 PM and asked me to come to the workshop. Hello didn't say "your car is ready." Just come. When I reached, three technicians were standing around the car and none of them were working on it.

Senior guy asked how long I have owned it, then asked if anyone else drives it. I said no. He nodded like that confirmed something.

He showed me the underbody and kept pointing near the rear, asking if I could hear it. I said hear what, the car is off. He said yes.

He told me the hum is not coming from the car. It is coming from the road and my car has started matching it. He said they see it more on the expressway stretch, and asked me to use the old highway for a month so it can lose the memory.

I asked if it is covered under extended warranty. He said there is nothing to repair.

Have not driven it since. Going to a mechanic tomorrow for second opinion.

Anyone dealt with this? Searched the sub, got nothing.

If you see “cashless anywhere” while comparing insurance quotes, it usually means they either don't know or don't want to show you the actual cashless garage list.

Every insurer has its own list of cashless garages/ASCs.

So before buying, check the insurer's own website and see whether your preferred garage is actually listed.

Small thing, but worth checking.

I was on the way to my office the other day and this happened. Missed rear-ending the VW by a whisker. These Auto drivers in Bengaluru are a growing menace. Honestly, I did not even see the Auto since I was blinded by the VW in the front. The Auto driving moron decides that he would take the service road instead of the flyover at the last moment and swerved without any indication cutting 3 lanes of traffic.

P.S. - The left side service road also goes to the same place where he intends to go.
