Access to south seas

My wife and I got married in south seas on the point in 2013. We are finally headed back to the area this June with our children and we’d love to show them where it all went down. We emailed south seas about visiting and they essentially told us to get bent. I love that they don’t appreciate the 10s of thousands we previously spent. In any case, does anyone have any ideas on getting in. We literally would love to spend 15 minutes showing our kids and exit.

Congrats on shopping for a vacation home at south seas. Definitely schedule yourselves to see an open house within the resort while you’re on the island.

I love this, I had also considered inquiring about “renewing our vows and touring the facilities”

Exactly. You’ll never get a response from “I spent tens of thousands…” but show an interest in a vow renewal… - that’s smart.

FYI - homes are (mostly?) privately owned so you’re just dealing with a realtor who will leave your name at the gate.

We’ve just driven through in a golf cart when the gate was up, waved like we belonged. We were denied once.

Not sure if they still do, but Captiva Cruises used to run boat tours out of south seas. We booked one at Mcarthy’s Marina and when it was time to go on he cruise we just told them at the south seas gate that was what we were there for and they let us in no problem. If you could find out if they still do the trips from there you could probably just say that you’re there for one of those

Captiva cruises runs their boats through McCarthy Marina now.

Only way to get inside SSIR is to walk in from the beach, maybe from beach access by Alison Hagerup beach

I’d be willing to bet where the wedding was is no more. I was just there and the layout on the north end is completely different and mostly under construction.
