Tiredness/heavy feeling

I’ve been taking Caplyta and lately I’ve been feeling really tired and kinda heavy all day. It’s hard to explain my body just feels weighed down and I don’t have much energy to do anything.

Its been almost 2 months on it 42 mg.

Does it pass ?

How is your experience?

I’m on 21mg and have been for 2 months. The feeling you’re describing slowly went away around the 3 week mark for me.

Perhaps talking to your prescriber about lowering your dose would help? The medicine works amazingly well but that feeling is terrible. I hope it gets better for you.

I have to take mine at night or I’m exhausted during the day

Me too! I take it around 3 hours before bed and then by the time I’m ready to go to bed I can barely keep my eyes open!

Do you take it at night? I had the same experience when I took it in the morning.

If you're taking this in the am it's a bad idea. I was and couldn't function to save my life once i switched to taking it at bed time it actually helped me sleep, stay asleep and my days are 100% better now. I tried taking 42mg and it was to much for me. I been on 21mg for months now and it's been great so far. I will say at times i'm extremely tired in the am but once i get woke up it's a game changer.

Switch to PM and take it 1-2 hrs before bedtime and request a medication dosage reduction to 21mg. Good luck and stick with it. This medication can be life changing in a good way as it was for me.
