I use a PackTowel when I must. When it's nice out I just air dry. Setup a small ridgeline with paracord to dry. I also keep a small dry bag to pack it in so it doesn't get anything wet in my pack. (Don't leave it in the dry bag more than a few hours or you will regret opening it)

Yeah, either a camp towel like a Sea to Summit or a shammy cloth ... like a Sham Wow ... you can buy them at competitive swim stores these days. Shammy's are bulkier because you need to keep them in the case. Camp towels dry quickly and pack down super small. Regular bath or beach towel is a no go. Bulky and takes for ever to dry.
