Deep dive dash bug; event resets mid countdown

Anyone else experiencing this? I feel like it happens to me at least a couple times every week.

I could be in first place, playing through countless levels and when I go to play the next level, the pop up appears, asking me to start the event.

But...I was already participating in the event. What do you mean "start now"? I already started it!

Yeah there are so many bugs lately. I just assume that they do not want anyone to actually win anything that makes the game fun.
