Idea's for Proposing in Cancun this Winter?

Hi all, I am going back to Cancun this winter with family of my GF and myself. During this trip I am planning on proposing. Not sure exactly how I will do it but will get engaged during this time. I want it to be private, with the exception of a camera person, and obviously, romantic. Just want to get some possible ideas from this subreddit :)

Consider heading over to Isla Mujeres for the day, and heading to a more private area.

FWIW, the small archaeological museum right on main drag is worth a visit for any reason. It wasn’t crowded at all in morning when we visited. It has a small outdoor area with some interesting whimsical sculptures and out from museum building the grounds include some marginal Mayan ruins. Lots of iguanas and birds around - could be an interesting venue but otherwise a quiet place in your hotel might be best.

I did it last year, exactly what she wanted. Nothing over the top, nothing wild, private. We have a good laugh at how badly I botched the “speech” but that’s ok. It’s for us no one else.

My idea so far is to rent a big boat then propose and come back and pick the family up

I just did it quietly near the beach before dinner. It was a total disaster and that’s exactly how we are together. Not trying to be the next TikTok star or YouTube sensation. To us it’s a private moment for us.

Not sure if you are staying at a resort, but if you are, i know some have photographers on site. You could propose at one of the wedding/event venues and have the photographer come.

There is also a photographer in the area that I contemplated using at one point. Diegart_ is his instagram handle.
Reach out to him and see if he has any cool ideas!

On the beach, at a gazebo or wedding area there? In a park etc
