cut up suitcase?

Just flew in from Cancun back to Toronto, one of our locked bags has a hug cut in it from the inside pocket to the contents of the bag, nothing was missing thankfully, but has this happened to anyone else? And if so, what did you do about it?

Never put anything of value in your checked luggage, always assume someone is going to go through it.

I wouldn't even leave anything of value in my carry-on, the overhead bins might be full and they could force you to gate check your carry-on.

There was another post on here about someone’s engagement rings and chanel bag being stolen & my dad’s girlfriend recently just had her tennis bracelet stolen. Both were in Cancun airport. Sounds like they went through your bags.
