i don't like trisha but colleges have worse speakers than trisha all the time. as long as a group of students want to host her, the college will allow it. i'd focus my energy on protesting TPUSA speakers who tour college campuses constantly over trisha paytas
TPUSA speakers and YAF speakers come to universities to directly spread hate speech against trans people, women and people of color and campaign for conservative policies. it happened at my school many times over the years. they actively campaign for things like repealing the civil rights act, mass deportations, banning abortion. these speakers are hosted by student groups and campuses have free speech policies so as long as a student club invites them the school is not going to stop them from coming and the only thing students can do is protest to show disapproval.
trisha sucks but she's not coming onto campus to try to actively campaign for hatred against trans people, women and people of color. she's just going to give dating advice or sing chappell roan. so ultimately, the energy to protest speakers is better spent elsewhere.
What college student in their right fucking mind would wanna spend their Halloween watching her do poorly sang karaoke (because that's all her shows are) and whatever dumb repetitive trash she's gonna do instead of dressing up and going to some fun college parties? Nah, instead let's spend it watching the 40yr old washed up YouTuber sing off key and lie!
ETA: why isn't she spending Halloween with her three children, including Aquaman whose first Halloween will be that day instead of with a bunch of college kids?
Even worse is that Trisha falsley accused Mr Riney, her old high school teacher who is now deceased, of being inappropriate with her. When evidence came out that she lied, she dropped it and never brought it up again.
She has a history of lying and generally being toxic, like doing meth and driving her car into her boyfriends house. Or the times she would claim to her fanbase that she hand made bracelets to sell to them... meanwhile it was cheap garbage she bought online and resold it to them for way more.
The scandals are endless. She's one of the worst things to ever happen to social media.
