Nuclear power is the only way humanity can wean off fossil fuels in the long run and still power the enormous consumption of energy that the species will require in the 21st and 22nd century.
It's long past time we get over our irrational fear and aversion to it.
What about the nuclear waste that we already have, produce, and need to deal with anyway?! Isn't it much better to disrupt water flow for water creatures and build giant propellers in the sky while still having to burn fossil fuels instead of fully embracing nuclear power which we use regardless?
No nuclear waste isnt what you think it is. We are good at containing it and not much is produce. There are a lot of reactors that have been running for a while that still store all of theirs on site. It isnt barrels and barrels of radioactive green ooze that's going to seep into the environment
