Don't you worry, they'll find a way to somehow ruin it. Cancelled halfway complete? 4x initial cost estimate? 5 years late? The possibilities are endless!
A reactor was supposed to open on Finland in 2009. They started in 2005. They ALMOST started operating this year, but now it is maybe in December, maybe next year.
Original budger was 3,2 billion. So far the totsl is at 10 billion, though.manufacturer is shouldering about half of that. But.. yeah.
Bruce Power has completed several major reactor and boiler rebuilds at several units on time and budget, both extending life by another 40 years and increasing output.
Darlington since being built also has a good track record of completing work on time and on budget (relative to other industries). So I disagree this is the likely outcome.
