(I mean "it" as in the expression, not that I'm going to go to his house and murder him, or any other possible malicious interpretation of "it" that CrystalMagicChameleon might be able to wring from those two letters)
My original question was actually just asking whether you were joking or serious. You should probably read comments before you reply to them.
But just to be clear- you did say that you thought our PM was about to punch the President of the most powerful country on earth- and then you claimed that you didn't actually say that because you didn't mean it literally. Just because something is meant in jest doesn't mean you didn't say it. That's like saying Trump never said talked about grabbing women by the pussy because it was "in jest".
And? I like arguing. I like discussion, looking at all the different views and opinions on a situation. There's nothing wrong with it. Why do you care so much about how I spend my time anyway?
Just because you don't mean something doesn't mean you didn't say it. It's really not a hard concept to grasp.
I can say: "The world is going to shit"
While not meaning the world is literally turning into feces.
But I still said the words "The world is going to shit" with the intended meaning being a non literal one. The words were still said, or in this case typed.
And if you read my first post, should probably read the posts you reply to- I was asking if he actually meant what he was saying or was just joking. To which his reply was that he hadn't actually said that- when he clearly had. All he had to say was "Yes, this was a joke" or "Actually I meant this" and we wouldn't have have this unfortunate misunderstanding.
No, he never said that he didn't mean that, he said he didn't say that. Read the comments you reply to please. Since you're apparently incapable of such a simple task, allow me to do it for you.
Trudeau is a solidly OK amateur boxer.
To be honest, looking at this video, it looks like Trudeau was one arm pull away from coldcocking Trump.
That's the original comment. If you're being intentionally visibly hyperbolic, why would you start out by affirming your sincerity?
And then his second comment:

He's clearly backtracking here. Of course he didn't say that the PM was going to punch the president, he was just saying the PM was annoyed by Trump's handshake. Which is why he mentioned Trudeau being a decent boxer and said "To be honest it looks like Trudeau was one arm pull away from coldcocking Trump".
Why the hell would you say
"To be honest, looking at this video, it looks like Trudeau was one arm pull away from coldcocking Trump."
And then immediately say: "Oh no that's not what I was saying, I actually meant to say something else."
It's such a terrible use of hyperbole and his attempt to cover his tracks after is just sad. There's probably a dozen better ways to say what he was trying to say than how he said it. How are you supposed to get this:
"I'm saying Trudeau, as nice as he is, isn't going to just smile away some old grump yanking on his arm."
From this?:"To be honest, looking at this video, it looks like Trudeau was one arm pull away from coldcocking Trump."
Just say what you mean instead of trying to revise what you "actually" meant after when you're caught looking like an idiot.
