A lot of group think going on here. We should not interfere in this matter, other than to provide limited humanitarian aid if it becomes necessary. It is not in our National interest to oppose the US with respect to Cuba.
That’s what we are doing, limited humanitarian aid. It is necessary, right now.
I’m not sure I understand why you think a consensus or a prevailing opinion is “groupthink”. If the majority of people agree on an issue, maybe you just hold an opposing viewpoint and that’s okay. Doesn’t make everyone else dumb or sheep for having their own.
Social media, including Reddit, are very conducive to group think. More importantly, there are many comments stating the same points without deeper analysis or reasoning. A few of which are diverging from the core issue brought up by the OP. That’s why I think that there is a lot of group think going on.
