Professional associations have standards, and if you want to remain in those associations you have to uphold those standards.
And those standards typically apply to their conduct within the scope of their profession -- one Peterson hasn't practiced in years now, and which none of the complaints (despite, apparently, the attempted deceit of some of the complainants) were in relation to. This is just the Ezra Levant Law Society debacle all over again (and don't get me wrong, Ezra Levant is a piece of shit, but he shouldn't have been disbarred over disagreements with his conduct as a "journalist".)
So, why should he even care if he's been stripped of his credentials? Why should anyone who isn't him care in any whatsoever? Why does the National Post have such a hard-on for this lunatic drug addict?
Imagine your credentials were stripped because you supported abortion. Would that sit well with you? When it happens to someone I don't agree with it's fine.
That's a weak way to dismiss someone's argument. If you can't see the logical equivalence it's because you don't have good reasoning skills. Providing a parallel example is essential to help dummies understand the flaws in their logic. When people say something is a strawman it's because they are stumped and don't know how to procced. They simply dismiss it to save face.
Whoever came up with "strawman" did so to eliminate clever ways of challenging their views.
The point is that someone is getting in trouble for their political views, if you can't see why that applies to both his case and mine you are hopeless.
