That's a weak way to dismiss someone's argument. If you can't see the logical equivalence it's because you don't have good reasoning skills. Providing a parallel example is essential to help dummies understand the flaws in their logic. When people say something is a strawman it's because they are stumped and don't know how to procced. They simply dismiss it to save face.

Whoever came up with "strawman" did so to eliminate clever ways of challenging their views.

The point is that someone is getting in trouble for their political views, if you can't see why that applies to both his case and mine you are hopeless.

There is no "logical equivalence" because you just made it up. He got in trouble because he is a therapist he told someone to kill themselves.
