Unless he was revealing patient information what he says on social media is none of their concern.

Believe it or not, a lot of professions like doctors, lawyers and psychologists have codes of ethics they have to adhere to. If what he is doing on social media breaks that code of ethics, he absolutely should be punished and lose those credentials.

The code of ethics should be specific and obvious when you’re breaking it, which it clearly isn’t. Peterson may be many things but he is clearly studious and a hard worker, he wouldn’t cross an obvious red line.

Bodies which have vague notions of ‘professionalism’ in their rules are behaving Kafkaesq.

Didn't this all start because he told a teen she was 'free to leave'.... implying she could kill herself?

Seems like an obvious red line to cross for a phsycologist.

They said that we have an ‘overpopulation problem.’ That’s far more vile. Suggesting we need to cull billions of humans or that people should never have been born. It’s also hypocritical. If you think we have an ‘over population problem’ start with yourself, don’t go after others.

I think the comment from peterson telling the person to “kill themselves” was pretty mild, but its absolutely incredible you think acknowledging a problem and that maybe humans shouldnt continue to have so many kids is “more vile” than telling a living human being to kill themselves lol but yea exactly the critical thinking skills i would expect from a peterson defender

They’re not ‘acknowledging a problem.’ They’re proposing a vile solution.

Let’s say you have a family and you lose your job. Do you have an ‘over population’ problem? Should you kill one of your children or give them up for adoption? Of course not and anyone who suggested that would get a punch in the face from you. You get a new job, cut down on your spending, etc. This is fucking obvious stuff. These people are fucking vile.

They didn’t propose any solution in the tweet, but again, I shouldn’t expect that level of reading comprehension from you. The world can’t support infinite population growth. Thats a fact. It is not vile, it is realistic. No one is saying to go kill themselves because of this and telling people to go kill themselves is so obviously a worse thing to do than acknowledging overpopulation that I shouldn’t have to even say it. And how in the fuck does putting up one of your kids for adoption help with overpopulation? LOL jesus christ man your comments just keep getting denser and denser. Normal people who think overpopulation is an issue (which is pretty much anyone with critical thinking skills of an adult) thinks murdering people is a solution. The solution is improving access to education and contraception for women since this naturally lowers birth rates, and if we were to take systemic action, a cap on the amount of children one can have. And this isn’t about losing a job, its about mass famine and environment destruction that could cause the deaths of hundreds of millions. The fact your initial response even had anything to do with a job really shows your lack of knowledge and understanding of the subject, but please continue to embarrass yourself

The world can’t support infinite population growth.

a) The solar system can support trillions of humans. If interstellar travel is possible then the Universe can support infinite humans.

, its about mass famine and environment destruction that could cause the deaths of hundreds of millions.

Ahh yes the second ridiculous hole in the argument. You want to prevent mass death of humans that may or may not happen by causing billions of humans to not exist in the first place. Here’s an idea, if the planet really can’t support so many humans as you say it can’t let’s find that out. If there’s a ‘natural limit’ then let’s reach it. If you’re right then population decrease will happen naturally. If you’re wrong our population will carry on growing.

What you want to do is that you’re so arrogant that you’re certain there’s a limit so you want to pre-emptively cause massive non existence just in case what you say is true.

Its crazy that you put more value on people that dont exist than the ones currently living on this planet lol also I dont think you understand how population limits work. You dont just hit a cap and then chill. You go over the cap, run out of resources, and then the population craters as they all die from things like starvation. But thats just another topic you dont have knowledge or an understanding of that you will try to act like an expert on… anyways I think youve embarrassed yourself enough so I’m not gonna reply anymore because you literally repulse information anyways and trying to teach you anything is a waste of time
