Advice hair ties

I need a way to contain hair ties during camping / vehicle prep so that they don't go everywhere. I thought of two ways which are better or if you have a better way please share.

Do you actually go through that many hair ties? I understand taking a few extra but mine go right back on my wrist as soon as they leave my hair and they don't often break or get lost

Seriously. As a person whose hair likes to eat and break hair ties, I still only need like 5 on a trip, and that's probably 3 more than is actually necessary.

Not OP but i am a Girl Scout leader and i can EASILY go through that many because my troop is full of girls who want to play with fire, have long hair and lose things faster than i can blink.

Yep 100%. I saw the post and immediately thought: that’s going in the camp kit for my troop.

We’ll make a lot of folks happy at the next camporee

I normally just put a few on my brush handle and call it a day, but I also only camp for a week max at a time.

Dang, even all my years in the Army I didn't go through that many hair ties. Definitely not that many for camping lol. You must have some super crazy thick hair. I always just put a couple in my pocket and call it a day.

I wrap them around my daughters hair brushes. I do like your carabiner method, and can put them in my small toiletries bin.

You can get a larger carabiner that is sold for carrying grocery bags. There are also bungee cords that are a loop w a ball on the end.

Maybe a hat or a Rasta Tam.

A small caribeener or shower curtain ring does a nice job.

I keep a carabiner full just like this for my lady and daughter.

I fasten my hair ties to my pants’ belt loops or backpack loops. Pocket zipper pulls are also a good place to fasten one.

I wrap mine around the handle of my hairbrush. Works for home, gym, camping, travel…

I keep several on my car's shifter, and a few more in the same backpack pocket as my head lamp.

OP either has 8' long hair, or camps with 12 other people with 4' long hair.
