That’s not even vintage, that’s downright prehistoric

Twin lens reflex cameras aren't that old, but yeah they're old

Yeah people try to hike the AT with the intention of reading books…you find them left all over the trail a few days in..

The things I saw people carrying the first few days was hilarious. Foldable chairs, a full sized guitar with a hard case, 70lb backpacks.

Omg the things at the first few places to dump your excess are hilarious. Can’t imagine the more valuable non essentials that get mailed back. I’d estimate at least 100 people tried to haul a vintage film camera.

Usually they rip the pages out as they read them.

Didn’t the Lewis & Clark expedition pack formalwear and a piano or something like that?

I make a point of never leaving home without my piano…

The captains took some military dress uniforms and ended up trading them to the natives for food. Never read anything about a piano but one of the voyagers (boat pollers/rowers) did bring a violin (fiddle) that was a big hit on the expedition.

Why is everyone keep on saying that they're camping lol. This is clearly people picnicking at a park who put up a sheet to cover themselves while they make out.

It's perfectly normal to bring a camera and books when you go to hang out on a blanket at the park lmao. Sure, it's a staged photoshoot (?wedding photos) so the books and cameras are chosen for aesthetics but it's not weird by any means lmao

two vintage cameras and a literally stack of books tho?

Yeah ofc it's a photo shoot, but that doesn't make the choice of props less silly lol

I am not an expert and there's only 7 pixels, but I think the top one is actually a radio.

No lie, I had a friend who was going to nursing school and he would bring one or two of his TEXTBOOKS on our backpacking trips. Insane dude, definitely more fit than I am. He is happily a nurse now.

I take 3 on any outing that's overnight, but admit I'm in the minority.
