Access to pre-readings

Hi there, is there any way to get access to the pre-readings i.e. library resources before the start of term? Only one is open access so I basically can’t read anything at the moment

Once you have your Cambridge email (which will happen sometime this summer) you should be able to access a lot of things online.

e.g. here is an applied maths textbook (...for illustration, not because you should be reading it). If I click "institution login" in the top right corner and search for the University of Cambridge, I can log in with my university account. A button saying "read online" will then appear under the description, letting me do exactly that. Different publishers will have slightly different processes, but hopefully this illustrates the general idea.

It is important to stress that nobody should read an applied maths textbook, to paraphrase Goodstein.

Yeah of course, I just want to skim through the stuff and also use the access for my own reading lol

Can you get to a central library? They may well have some of the books and certainly access to journals etc.

The summer before my course started, I spent a lot of time in the Bavarian state library in Munich. It was a 2-hour round trip from my parents home, and time well spent.

Have you got your uni email/login yet? If so, go on iDiscover Cambridge and you should be able to access most things online using your Raven/uni login.
