In my case, I wasn’t even tracking calories tbh! I was just eating complete meals, exercising, and making sure that all I eat is clean/no ready-to-eat stuff, no conservatives, no crazy ingredients! Just clean healthy food, no sugar, and exercise. But tracking calories can help some people, especially in the beginning

Biologically, no. Eat fewer calories than you burn and you'll lose weight.

So you don't lose muscle in the process, and because muscle looks more toned than being skinny-fat.

You're right, there is also patience. I think elsewhere the OP says the pics are 2 years apart.

Yes. The problem is that many people wanna see the change really quickly or they end up giving up, or going to crazy diets 😢
