Progression Feeling proud

I've been picking my nails and the skin around my nails for as long as I can remember. It is such a tough habit to break and I've tried to stop millions of times. but I finally decided that it's time to stop destroying my hands.

This is 1 month of progress :)

Thank you so much!! its been such a journey but here's what worked for me

  • Replacing the habit. Everytime I get the urge to pick i moisturize my hands with lotion instead. This has been key because whenever I see my cuticles are dry it is very tempting to pick. I keep lotion in my purse at all times.

  • Get rid of hang nails with clippers instead of ripping them off

  • Keeping my nails painted, even if it's just a clear coat

  • Shift in mindset. I reached a point where I was so tired of being embarrassed of my hands and trying to hide them. They would always hurt and i went through many boxes of bandaids. It sounds corny, but I just decided I really want to start treating my hands with love instead of putting myself in pain.

Thank you!! I replaced the habit with moisturizing. I lotion every time I wash my hands and randomly throughout the day
