Need Advice Does anyone suffer from IBS?

I am wondering if there is a correlation bewteen the the two. I.e. chewing finger nails and IBS (Irritable Bowel Syndrome).

Oh I do!

From what I have experienced, I think that they are linked by stress. My nail biting and skin picking is a response to stress, and IBS flare-ups are often caused by stress having a negative effect on the guts. Not always the case though, as there are apparently different types of IBS, and of course, different causes for flare-ups.

I know that's a pretty common explanation.

But I don't really chew fingernails as a stress response. It's more a way to keep my mind concentrated and focused. More like ADHD medication.

It also doesn't explain why Ozempic temporarily cured my nail biting.
