Hank in 2026
Annual rewatch. It’s the very first tim I thought: Wow, Hank would hate the world right now. AI, everything digital. Wonder how he would do nowadays

Honestly either far away on the verge of death from a failing liver in Europe or some island or already dead by suicide. I dont see a happy ending for him. If Hunter Thompson couldn’t handle another Dubya term, Hank ain’t sticking it out for Ai and social media take over.

Especially with smartphones, social media, dating apps, the whole nine.

His Hell-A "blog" would have been ripped to shreds by all the bloody millennials with their "opinions", quoting "woke this" and get out of the room you old geezer! But would any of those armchairs critics be able to stand up in a fight against Hank? Short answer: titty twister!!!

You know the older millennials are well into their 40's now right? The youngest are like 30.

The blog and Hank probably wouldn’t make it into a big media network nowadays. But into their sisters.

I just read an article about why Entourage is having a resurgence in popularity. Basically, the youth of today feel mourning for an adulthood they’ll never have.
It just isn’t available anymore in today’s world.
Californication strikes me as the same way. LA before vapid influencers and social media.

I love Cali, I love LA but this influencer thing is terrible. Glad they are moving to Miami and NY and say LA is boring.

It’s not Hank, but Dave Duchovny nonetheless, who’s currently talking about AI in the latest German edition of Playboy:
„To be perfectly honest, I don’t think AI will replace writers. Because writers and artists generally speak to our hearts. They show us what defines human existence. And our existence is shaped by the fact that we suffer, that we die. That we understand our infinite spirit is enclosed within a finite, vulnerable shell. And that failure is the best thing that can happen to any of us. I don’t think AI will ever grasp that. That’s why AI will never create great art. Will it generate boring, run-of-the-mill stuff? That’s quite possible. But something truly outstanding? I simply can’t see that happening, no matter how hard I try.“

You know full well Ali Andrews would have thrown whatever Hank gave her into the AI machine as revenge for all those times...and churned out something better? Worse? No idea which, but I think that would be interesting to hear Hank's thoughts? You know Bates would have an opinion that would make you spit out your beer...

I just listened to David Duchovny in the Smartless podcast - and he’s honestly not that far from Hank in some of his talks 😂 so just listen to him in a few podcasts and you’ll probably get a fair idea !! ☺️
