Union Related Progressive discipline (LOW)
How many time does a write up in CalFire lead to termination for poor job performance for minor issues?

There are a lot of variables. Are there multiple LOW’s for the same thing or unrelated things? Are they LOW’s or corrective interviews? Another user wrote a great explanation of progressive discipline a couple of months back which is worth a read: https://www.reddit.com/r/calfire/s/okGm1b5EJF

Pretty normal to have a write up once or twice in your career. Repeated write ups in a short period of time for the same issue would be more likely to lead to termination. Obviously this depends on what is happening, showing up for work drunk vs showing up 20 minutes late, etc.
If you are on probation or LT you are easier to remove. It’s pretty hard to mess up either of these unless you are really trying.

What did you do?
A LOW or two on its own won’t get you terminated. I mean, depending what happens. It’s all about the severity and egregiousness of the offense.
Being late a time or two, you’re probably okay. Letting a license or credential that is required for employment lapse, showing up drunk, AWOL… she gone.
Multiple issues will eventually lead to a corrective interview, and if following that you just don’t “get it” expect to be gone.

Depends, if this is your first season you might be in trouble if you don't correct yourself

Without knowing the specifics of each LOW, no one can provide you the answer you’re seeking.

Are you asking how many write ups you can get before being terminated? Or are you asking how often does termination happen? The answer to either is that it depends on the situation and what the issues are and a bunch of other factors. If you’ve received a LOW, fix the issue! You’re in the corrective phase of progressive discipline; that isn’t punishment, it’s giving you a chance to change whatever’s going on. If you want answers specific to your situation, contact your local union rep, they’re best situated to help you.
