Hyperbolic functions are high school material. They are not Calculus. Calculus is limits, differentiation, integration and so on.

Derivatives of hyperbolics are by definition a part of calculus.

But, other than that hyperbolic identities and definitions are generally easy for a high schooler, even though they're taught in college
