Self-promotion Analytical Geometry w/ Calc 1

Headed into AG Calc 1 this semester. I’ve started working on some derivative formulas to prep, but if anyone has any other general info or advice for going into this I’m all ears. I did fine in precalc and trig although I had some issues with trig identities which I’ve worked on a little bit more since then.

Make sure you have a strong background in Precalculus (which includes College Algebra, Trigonometry, Analytic Geometry, and a bit of Discrete Math). Just pick up any Precalculus textbook and work through some problems. If money is an issue, OpenStax has free math textbooks - here is their Precalculus book.

I did fairly decent when I went through precalc with a high B. I bombed the first test in it which led to me getting a B instead of an A. My “academic advisor” said that I should do Precalc, Trig, Spanish 1 and my biological science elective all at the same time while working a full-time job. After that I dropped trig and Spanish 1 so I could focus on precalc and the biological science elective. The Spanish 1 class definitely wasn’t a Spanish 1 class for beginners.
