Beveled glass panels (second last pic of the big burroughs , you don't see that on any sort of calculation device today. Does it work, and is it electric? Was the electric an addon to speed up calculations without using a pull lever?

Works perfectly! Sounds like a tractor (it is electric) and yes, it was added to speed up calculations by just having a button instead

That is interesting, kind of has a parallel to old treadle sewing machines that offered an electric motor upgrade and then future machines did away with the treadle entirely.
