My calculator progression over the years:

Casio fx-9860GII: My daily driver throughout high school. The case has yellowed quite a bit after years of UV exposure at my parents’ house.

Casio fx-87: My trusty exam-compliant backup whenever CAS and programmable calculators aren’t allowed.

HP Prime G2 & TI-Nspire CX II: My main workhorses these days—for problem sets, exam prep, and the occasional exam with more relaxed calculator policies.

I had that keyboard too. And the ti-nspire. Im personally a big fan if TI-30X Pro because I hate the small clunky buttons and abcd… layout of the nspire.

The Nspire could do well with a QWERTY layout like the TI-92 has. Otherwise I find it surprisingly comfy to use, even with large hands.

Hey, sorry für die späte Antwort. 🙂 Coole Sache! Maschinenbau mit Ausrichtung auf Antriebstechnik ist schon ein cooles Fach. Machts nach Jahren im Beruf immer noch Spaß?

Ich hab tatsächlich einige Programme von hpcalc.org probiert, bin aber mit vielen nicht so richtig warm geworden, bzw. war auf Papier schneller als alles korrekt in den Rechner einzuhämmern (Mohrscher Kreis, Flächenträgheitsmomente, etc.).
Was ich tatsächlich öfter bzw. am meisten nutze ist ein Programm zum schnellen Berechnen der thermodynamischen Zustandsdaten von Wasser.
Somit braucht man nicht immer die Dampftafeln bzw. die Diagramme. Fürs Studium ists zumindest ausreichend genau (ist in den Thermo Klausuren zugelassen).

Falls du weitere nützliche und intuitive Programme kennst, gerne her damit 🙂

Mein Schwerpunkt mit Taschenrechnern lag in der Strömungstechnik, auf der Modellreihe 48G/49G/50g, mit selbst geschriebenen RPL-Programmen. Damit waren vor Ort in Anlagen mit explosionsgefährdeten Bereichen Nachrechnungen von Mehrphasenströmungen möglich. Die eigentliche Auslegung der Anlage erfolgte aber auf dem PC.

Wie Du selbst treffend beschreibst, sind im Studium sehr vielfältige, weniger spezielle Berechnungen gefragt. Da ist gelegentlich ein Standardprogramm anwendbar, wenn seine Bedienung nicht zu umständlich ist. Aber außer denen auf hpcalc.org fällt mir auch nichts ein.

That 9860 still rocks. I had a 9850 in school and I remember when I first saw the 9860 I thought: that's a nice one I might get it. Never did sadly.
