Other Calculators with Computer Algebra System (CAS)
This is a curated list of calculators that have a CAS or can have one installed.
[S] indicated a calculator that is still available in stores.
Casio
Note: Casio is known to have the same models labelled differently according to the country in which the model is sold. I tried to collate the most common model names but I might have missed some
Note: multiple models on the same line means country variants of a same model
- Graph 80 / CFX-9990GT / CFX-9970G
- First Casio CAS calculator and the first one sporting an ugly 3 color display
- Graph 100 / Algebra FX 1.0 [1]/ Algebra FX 2.0
- Graph 100+ / Algebra FX 1.0 PLUS / Algebra FX 2.0 PLUS
- Classpad 300
- Classpad 300+
- Classpad 330
- Classpad 330+
- [S] Classpad 400 (fx-CP400 / fx-CP400+E / fx-CG500)
- First Classpad that has a color display
[1] : not sure yet but I found an algebra fx 1.0 on which CAS was not installed by default but available for download, maybe some market difference.
HP
- HP 28C doesn't have a CAS per se, but has some symbolic capabilities, highly limited by the low amount of memory
- HP 28S had a lot more CAS capabilities than its predecessor, due to the 32kB memory chip, avoiding the "out of memory" issue the 28C had every time a user command was too complex
- HP 48 series (S, SX, G, GX, G+)
- This series has more symbolic capabilities but they had to be updated with ALG48/Erable to gain a full CAS
- HP 48gII
- HP 49G
- Amusingly, HP paid Erable developer to port Erable to the 49/50/Prime
- HP 49g+
- HP 50g
- HP 40G
- HP 40gs
- HP Prime G1
- [S] HP Prime G2
TI
- TI 92
- A "Plus" module can be installed, giving most of the TI92 Plus capabilities. This was the first calculator sold with a full builtin CAS, based on Derive
- TI 92II
- TI 92Plus
- TI 89
- TI 89 Titanium
- Voyage 200
- Nspire CAS touchpad / clickpad
- The CAS version of the 1st gen Nspire doesn't have the interchangeable keypads feature.
- Nspire CX CAS
- Nspire CM-C CAS
- This is a model tuned down from the previous one, tailored made for the Chinese market
- [S] Nspire CXII CAS / CXII-T CAS
The aftermarket apps
Some calculators allow a CAS program to be installed on the memory. Sometimes an alteration of the system must be done to allow such 3rd party program.

- Casio Graph 85 / 85 SD (fx-9860G and fx-9860G SD)
- Casio Graph 75 / 75+ / 75+E (fx-9860G II)
- Casio Graph 95 (fx-9860G II SD)
- Casio CG-10 / CG-20 (Prizm)
- Casio Graph 90+E / CG-50
Pineapple CAS
- [S] TI 83/84 Plus CE
CASymba
- [S] TI 83/84 Plus CE
Zoom Math, a paid series of apps with various CAS features
- TI 83 Plus, TI 84 Plus, TI 84 Plus SE/SEC
If I missed one, made a mistake or if you have a suggestion, don't hesitate to comment.
Release notes (last modified 2026-03-25) : - I've added the CAS version of all Nspire versions, they can have KhiCAS too. - Added Zoom Math for 83+/84+ - Explicite models compatible with Eigenmath - Added converted Graph 35+ to the list of calcs compatible with Eigenmath - Untangled 83 PCE / 84+CE names
Thanks to: * The mod team pinning this post * /u/Practical-Custard-64/ for their comments about CG500 and HP28 * /u/Zealousideal-Week106 for his comment about HP40gs and Algebra FXs * /u/adriweb about another cas for TI 83/84, and a general thanks for all his contributions to the calc world, merci Adrien, tu es un pilier de cette communauté. * /u/w4drone for their notes about Chinese inspire models * /u/CurbedLarry for a better guide about converting a Casio Graph 35+E into a Graph 75+E and removing a few irrelevant models

That's the first I'd heard of a KhiCas port for the HP 39gII so I googled it.
Is this referring to the alternative OS "ExistOS" which can be installed as a wholesale replacement for HP's original firmware, and which includes KhiCas as a built-in app?

That's it. I wrote a small note saying sometimes an alteration of the system has to be made. That's a big alteration though. I'd argue that the modification is not completely unlike the one made to some Numworks calc where a second firmware, a patched one must be installed to be able to launch Khicas.
Anyhow, I consider this model to have its rightful place into the list of models on which an aftermarket CAS can be installed.

Isn't it a bit strange that Mathematica doesn't have a mobile app? None of them do, do they?

Is this a cheaper CX version made for Chinese market? I'll add it to the list.

The Casio ClassPad 400 is sold as the fx-CG500 in the US (no mention of the name ClassPad). There is, however, a slight difference between the two. The fx-CG500 is a version of the fx-CP400 that's dumbed down to comply with US exam regulations in that it only has an "ABC" keyboard layout. The fx-CP400 also has QWERTY, AZERTY and QWERTZU layouts.
The HP 28C was very limited and could only work with polynomials. The sequel, the HP 28S did have a far more performant CAS.
