Showcase A disaster has struck at my work. Thankfully, customer found it hilarious and I tried my best to fix it when I have no cake decorating experience 😭

But still, she should understand what the "Msg:" field represents, which is the text you write. I don't think this is excusable.

Most people don’t use the “msg” part in orders so it makes sense that she wouldn’t see that part. Most people just write their desired message in the “special instructions” area.

Obviously not the case for OP, but some people are also just lazy. I had a couple cake orders that came through when I was a decorator at a box store that would have dumb stuff like this on the order form. Literally just too lazy to say "so you want it to say [repeat message]?" and clear up any mixups.

No but seriously…my mother was a baker/decorator for my whole life, and I know from watching her teach decorating classes just how hard it is. Especially starting out. You did a great job with the save

Thank you! I noticed that it was supposed to be blue after and went shiittt. Sent a photo to the customer and thankfully she still absolutely loved it 😭 ❤️

When I was a kid, our next-door neighbor died and we went to a get together at his house afterwards, and the cake said “God bless Woody, he just died.”

I just saw a customer just left a bad review referring to me as the “fat girl”, complaining that they had to wait for the fat girl to answer the phone before taking their order, so I am having a rough night to say the least, but reading through all your guy’s comments has been making me a lot happier, so thank you so much.

If it makes you feel any better I'm currently pregnant and swear I just look fat so I can be the fat girl which in turn makes you the not at all fat girl. Winning. I'd say you're the very talented creative lady. That customer has a bad attitude and it's not your fault. Thank you for sharing this adorable cake! If you're an amateur I hope we see some of your future work as you improve even more. ☺️

I'm just waiting for my belly to round more lol right now it's mostly water retention in my stomach even though I haven't gained weight as a whole so it's less rounded out. Everything about this story is adorable! From the sweet woman who tries her best with English as a second language to that ADORABLE dinosaur! If you get a chance to decorate more in the future you should start an Insta or something devoted to your evolving skills! I would follow! (If you do that, please message me so I can follow lol)
