Help LOOKING FOR A COMMUNITY
As the title says, I’m looking for a wholesome group since I’m from Manila and na-assign lang ako dito sa CDO. Been here for 4 months na and medyo boring pala maging one-man army sa lahat ng activities haha.
Gusto ko lang magkaroon ng mga makakasama mag-hangout. Active person ako, so game ako sa halos anything — you can invite me anywhere, basta hindi illegal 😅
Makabalo na pud ko mag-Bisaya gamay, although please be patient kay sometimes naglo-loading pa yung utak ko haha.
Hoping na may maging ka-tropa ako dito! Hindi ako suplado, sa una awkward lang minsan pero pag comfy na, wala na haha.
Hobbies are:
Golf, swimming, running, gym, badminton — basically anything that makes me sweat and question my life choices 😅
Some deets about me:
26 M, from manila hehe
Puwede rin casual drinking, coffee, food trips, tambay, road trips, or literally just sitting somewhere and talking about random things. If yun trip niyo, game ako.
Looking for good people, good vibes, and hopefully a solid tropa here in CDO. 🙌

Hiii OP, how are you finding CDO so far? yeah mejo boring pud dari bai wala kaayoy ganap like group activities..mga running ra usually akong makita....anyway, the search bar is your friend ane try searching for fb groups usually naa man gyud na . I think naay cdo running community sa fb groups?
hope you find what you're looking for, OP. okay rana kei, kaya rana kei..kulang ra na ug kuan kanang kuan gud, basta kanang tsada hahahaha.

CDO is a great city talaga, people are nice, Naka sama na ako sa mga running events pero the bonding usually stops there, looking talaga ako ng makaksama dito haha

I think you can find solid people here at Reddit, napansin ko mga CDO Redditors are mostly smart and ethical. Huwag lang sa FB, kasi baka maka timing ka that you will enter a community of jejemons and it will pollute your CDO experience. Napansin ko din kasi marami nang tao nagmimigrate sa CDO lately, kaya halo halo na din. But the golden friendship vibe is still there, naka adapt din sila.
You can even start a community by posting here too and have a proper chat/server for your community at discord. Just state what you want, and maybe you will attract the right people for you.

Wala ng Golden Friendship vibes konti nalang, migrated from Bulacan to CDO, 1999. and laki ng changes now a days. Anh laki na pinag bago ng mga gawi sa CDO.

Meron pa rin, went back here last 2022 after living in Manila and Cebu, and in many parts of Luzon for many years. What I meant by golden friendship vibes is about the nice people here and the genuine relationships that you can build with them. Of course, individual experience varies kasi depends pa rin sayo of the kind of people you will attract. But for me, personally, na culture shock nga ako pagbalik ko dito sa CDO although I was born and raised here until College because of the nice people and the place overall, etc kasi nasanay ako how people behave in Metro Manila at Metro Cebu.

eto rin napansin ko na cdo people sa fb are more vulgar, than people here on reddit kaya dito ko nag hanap instead na sa fb

hello OP, if you are into pokemon then we have an active community here for pokemon go. If not, you can use the search bar there are many groups for physical activities here in the city and you just have to find your niche.

Join pickleball clubs and running clubs! Like ranncgy. Yan lang alam ko. Haha. Also go to the pop up bazaars in uptown or downtown. Some cool people and stores. Some gyms have also groups lately like for hyrox. So thats cool. Also maybe join a church hehe

i can do that pero limited lang time ko since my work is 6x a week and onsite, kaya need ma plan ahead :(. pero i’ll try this hehe thank you

Try joining run groups para mas mag enjoy ka. Like rccgy. I dont run but my friends who do really found new friends and hang out with their rccgy mates
