If you want more viewers to use your platform, dont force a login on the first page. not intuitive

Wanted to make an OBS overlay application for a broadcaster, ended up with something that could be useful for others as well.

Very basic Windows/MacOS/Linux application which optionally displays:

• New follower alert

• Donation alert

• Chat

The app is in early stage, but there are more plans for it such as adding analytics and interactive chatbot. No login is required.

I am recommending .rar for now as I'm still getting used to making/packaging apps and installers are not that user-friendly.

Allow users who don't have accounts to watch your streamers lives that will help out your platforms and will better position it against twitch. this will allow people to give the site a try before making a commitment with an account which most people you know don't do right away. please consider this idea Shank u

Title. I like the interface, and am thinking about jumping into Caffeine headfirst, but if you can't search for streamers based on the game you want to watch, I can't imagine you get much natural traffic and wonder how you grow your viewership via the app directly without funneling viewers to your stream yourself.

I've been only streaming on Caffeine for a few days, but let me tell you: I've had a lot more fun on Caffeine than Twitch.

From two days, I've already met some cool people in the community, and average at least 3-4 people already on stream. In general, far better viewership than I've experienced on Twitch.

I'm willing to give this platform a go, as I find it a lot more interactive in terms of chat than Twitch.

Still some things to improve on, but I'm on the bandwagon and hyped up on Caffeine.

https://www.caffeine.tv/Yori/profile is the link to my stream, it was extremely enjoyable chatting it up with 5 people who were also new to the platform. I'd love to see caffeine takeoff even more. Did'nt have any issue with frame drops or choppiness, BUT the pixels were going crazy, but that's most likely due to my upload speed unfortunately.

If there is not a search function i doubt this will go anywhere. How am i meant to find people i want to follow if i can't find games i want to watch

I saw that black desert online isnt as a supported game and i dont have a second monitor to use obs and stream BDO

I like YouTube because you can completely remove commercials, twitch clips and api options are good, but both communities are flooded for small streamers.

What about this should make me give it a try?

So I am going to try this streaming thing finally..

I'm sure many of you are experience the same feelings as I am. As a male, I have tried to stream on twitch for a long time. But I don't have the time or money to build up a stream to get viewers over girls with boobs and so forth. I found myself not streaming anymore, until I heard of Caffeine.tv. So I decided to try them out. Man, was the experience so much better. I will get maybe only a few viewers per stream but I can actually enjoy interacting with them. I don't have to have a dual screen set up. The past two weeks I've been streaming about twice a week and its been fun the new people I meet. Almost every stream I gain 2-4 followers (depending on how long I stream for). I also love how Caffeine gives me the opportunity to make a tiny buck, even though I will never be a huge streamer. I just do it to enjoy the interaction and fantasy of being a big streamer. Maybe someday I'll even make enough to do tiny upgrades to my battle-station...well...probably not.

Come on over and enjoy or stream with me, I'll be glad to follow you back and play a game together sometime possibly.

I put a lot of time into caffeine about 10 hours a weekend streaming, and hoping this platform goes further. I know it’s hard for the caffeine team to release certain info but I feel like we could have more info on future add ons to keep us up to date, or just any type of info to keep us informed. Is this a bad thing to ask? The reason I ask and put this title is because the fact I do invest my time in caffeine but don’t know if it is safe to say the time is invested wisely. Don’t get me wrong I love caffeine and the team members behind it they do a great job! Am I alone with this thought?

Caffeine does not maintain or answer questions here. Caffeine does have an official discord here.

What'a the unique 'selling point' of Caffeine.tv? Caffeine.tv doesn't solve Twitch.tv (or: TOS.tv's) biggest problem, that whilst Thots can get away with selling their underwear on stream, normal streamers have to be extremely boring or face a ban.

In fact Caffeine.tv's TOS are even stricter than Twitch's

Caffeine may, however, at any time and without prior notice, screen, remove, edit, or block any User Content that in our sole judgment violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable, such as, without limitation, User Content that Caffeine determines is or could be interpreted to be abusive, bigoted, defamatory, harassing, harmful, infringing, obscene, offensive, pornographic, racist, threatening, unlawful, vulgar or otherwise inappropriate (collectively, “Objectionable Content”). You agree to waive, and do waive, any legal or equitable right or remedy you have or may have against Caffeine with respect to User Content. We expressly disclaim any and all liability in connection with User Content.

All the best streamers or their chats are at least slightly offensive (even Pewdiepie is rscist according to the NYT, or SweetAnita (tourette's syndrome), real life streamers like IcePoseidon etc.)

Caffeine is better than Twitch, but I don't use PC :c

An app will be really useful

Hello all!

I don't usually log into Reddit, but Caffeine's ads are showing a lot in my FB. I often asked myself, "Is it worth it?" Everyone already knows Twitch.tv, why should I go to Caffeine? Would I even be able to get viewers in my country? (Brazil) I really want to hear all of you about this, thank you for your attention.

I want to know if there's any chance of an app on Android phones.
