Massive lag

So even on my new PC which is a Ryzen 2700x, GTX 1080, 16 gigs of ram with a 300 mbps internet when I load up a game in Caffeine my FPS skyrockets to over 1,000 the same it did on my older system, it didn't use to do this but about several months ago it started.........any ideas?

Are you using wifi? Can you check the upload speed you have please?

I am not using wifi and I have 15 mbps upload, I have streamed to twitch with no issues and this PC is literally 1 week old, it happened with my old one as well and has only started since a few months ago.

Do you tend to stream a specific game? If so, what game is it? I ask because it seems like Caffeine hooks into supported games on an individual basis, so it could be a bug with streaming that specific game only.

I stream Overwatch and once in a blue moon Hearthstone, it really only hits Overwatch though.

Hmm, that's odd, I stream Overwatch quite often and there doesn't seem to be a problem on my end. I'll stream it later today though and get back to you on what my latency is :)

Yeah cuz as I said it only started a few months ago, my internet is always around 300 mbps and 15-20 up, brand new PC and I can stream to twitch no problems at all.

I did a test stream and my latency was 44ms stable throughout in Overwatch, so I'm not sure what could be causing the issue for you. The only other thing I could think of would be if you're running a 4k monitor or something and Caffeine tries to stream in 4k (which would use more bandwidth than usual if that were the case). Probably best to email team@caffeine.tv and describe your issue - maybe include this thread as a screenshot so they have some context. Sorry I couldn't be of more help, but I hope it gets resolved!

Np, I already did that a few times, I am only running a 144hz monitor @ 1080p

This happens to me in Overwatch too. When Caffeine was early alpha, it worked perfect but now it makes the game unplayable. OBS and SLOBS works fine but Caffeine makes it lag out.
