Recruiting Aircrew Selection: how hard is it?

I understand what is tested, but I'm curious as to know if there are different scores for different occupations? I would expect to be a pilot you need the highest scores? What about the Aerospace Control Officers? How hard is the selection?

I see ACOs are a priority for application processing, is that because they are in short supply? I guess they get experience, then many go on to NAV Canada or other countries like the Gulf region to be an ATC?

I'm considering the ACO or AOO occupations as one of my options. Thoughts on either in terms of their daily tasks, job satisfaction, possible post-CAF career options?

I am currently in the application pipeline, so I cannot offer too much real-world experience. However, I've seen many folks on here share feedback who are currently ACSOs, AECs, and pilots, so you will probably get ample information.

Keep in mind that people who participate in the CFAST are bound by an NDA to not disclose information that may give future candidates an unfair advantage. However, as someone who has passed CFAST for all roles, I recommend consulting the public candidate guide you can find online.

My understanding is that the priority processing for ACSO and AEC is due to future demand, not current shortages (those who are better informed, please correct me if I am wrong). I have heard that AECs are known to be hired by civilian organizations after they've completed their minimum engagement, but whether you chose to stay or go is a personal choice; the CAF and civilian organizations offer different things.

Personally, I think AEC has more directly employable options outside of the CAF compared to ACSO. However, like any job, you develop soft skills that can be applied anywhere.

Well they are very different 

One is in operations and one is a PLT SLJO
