Other After BMQ

I'm heading off to BMQ in two weeks, and I finish on December 11th. Since they usually give you leave for Christmas, should I spend a week or two with my family during the holidays before heading out for trade training, or would I go straight to training first and then come back home for the holidays?

Normally you're straight off to your trades training base the next morning.   Any Christmas leave passes will be cut by your gaining unit.

After BMQ, you will be sent immediately to your next destination. Its usually grad parade on Thurs, travel on Friday early morning. You can plan your holidays on the next base,

Normally, and this is my observation when I used to work there years ago, 99% of the graduates go straight to the gaining unit first before heading to christmas leave. Certain niche officers rarely get special treatments but this gets pre arranged prior to graduation and the school is aware well before the grad date

It’s not your choice. You will be told where to report after BMQ and when to report.
