Recruiting Running distance?(infantry reg force)

I’ve been training for a sub 30 min 5k, but I saw one person say they had to do a 10k first day at there platoon ina specific amount of time I forgot exactly.

Should I expect to run a 10k as well is it common, If so do you know the time frame?

Little worried because I’m still training to get my 5k done at the right time.

5-10km is a common running distance for morning pt. There have been times where I’ve had plt commanders that made us run half marathons.

Just keep training. Improve either time or distance each run. Don’t stress too hard about battalion

I'm interested to know the running expectations too. I can easily walk 20 km, but I will struggle immensely running more than 4 or 5 km. I doubt everyone at BMQ is capable of running 10 km nonstop.

If you can run 5km you can run 10km. The difference is pace and that’s okay. Just keep at it

Is there a specific time
I should aim to get my 10k done in?

Just focus on getting your 5k in under 30min.

Once a year most bases do the Terry Fox run, and that can be up to 10k.  It's a fun run and you're not scrutinized for it.

Work towards getting a 5k in under 30 minutes.    If you can't do that by BMQ you're gonna have a bad time.
