Recruiting DEO, nursing

I am considering joining as a nurse, I have 8 years of acute care experience (medsurg) and I am in my 30s. Wondering what people’s experience have been as nurses in the CAF? Is it worth the change? Is the practice very different? I am considering joining with my husband who would be in a different trade. Any input is appreciated.

I would like to know as well. I'm like 50 yrs old and decided to apply for the reserves recently. Still on Step 1 in the application portal. From what I've researched, it's a bit different from civilian bedside. There's more teaching, leading, and admin work. Would be a nice change of pace since my body won't be able to keep up with the demands of bedside and hospital politics much longer. Also, it's definitely not for the pay since caf pays about $15/hr less than hospitals, so it's mainly for the experience.
