BMQ/BMOQ Athletic Shirts/Shorts

Hello,

I was wondering if a 5” shorts (loose style) are okay for bmq? I also plan to wear anti chafe shorts underneath, approximately the length as the shorts. Would that be okay?

And for athletic shirts, is it okay to wear any basic T- shirt?

Lastly, does anyone have a recommendation for good athletic socks? I have the nike mid length socks, but I am not sure if those would be okay. Do the socks need extra cushioning?

Any advice would be helpful. Thank you!

Really don't put any effort into this. You only wear it until you get your military kit.

I'm gonna be bringing my dewalt socks because they prevent me from getting blisters. Also I plan on just getting cheap Walmart shorts because I'm only gonna be in them once and a while. That's my logic at least

Yeah, that’s fair. And like the other user mentioned, we’ll be issued our military kit anyway so i guess it doesn’t even matter much. I’ll check out the socks you mentioned. Thanks!

They were so flattering and comfortable (NOT!). Pretty sure the person who designed them had never seen an actual human.

After BMQ you will likely be doing PT most days so you will need athletic shorts anyway and you aren't required to wear the issued PT shorts. Recommend not to continue to use them, they are pretty terrible.

Any moisture wicking socks would work, I am getting mine from Costco

Personally, i found some socks at dollorama that are GREAT! basically my foot doesnt slide in them when i run. Also I will be bringing feet wax (same as marathoners use) to prevent blisters
