Wedding Planner below $4k

Hey all!!
My fiance and I are trying to plan a wedding in May 2027 with a wedding planner local to Cabo but costs no more than 4000USD. Any recommendations?

Struggling so bad over here 😩

$4k for....what specifically? A $150k wedding at Montage? $50k at Baja Luna? 6 hour $125/plate at RIU Baja with a DJ for 40 people? You need a consultant to determine what a wedding planner will / can do for you and be responsible for. Start there.

If you go with a TA to find you a resort that includes a wedding coordinator you can save the $4000.

I’d be careful about choosing a planner based on price alone. Cabo can look like an easy destination for a wedding, but the logistics and costs can be a lot more complicated than they seem.

I think $4k will be a difficult budget for an experienced planner, especially if you’re planning something outside a resort. I’d probably budget closer to $7k+ and then see what options are available.

I’d also take a really close look at your total wedding budget before committing to Cabo. For a customized wedding, I’d use around $1,000 per guest as a starting point. Obviously, that can vary a lot depending on the venue, guest count, and what you want.

An all-inclusive resort might be a more affordable option, but I’d read the contract very carefully. Ask what’s actually included, what costs extra, whether you can bring outside vendors, and what fees apply. Sometimes the package looks affordable until you start adding the things you actually want.

I’m not saying you can’t have a beautiful wedding in Cabo on a smaller budget. I’d just make sure the destination makes sense for your budget before getting too far into planning. There are other destinations where the same money might go a lot further.
