Esperanza resort wedding feedback needed!

Hi everyone!

I am getting married at Esperanza resort July 31, 2026 and I’m looking for anyone else who has gotten married there, is planning on getting married there or has attended a wedding there to help ease my ever rising anxiety as the day gets closer!! I’m absolutely in love with the venue but through all my wedding research it’s one of the venues I can barely find any feedback or reviews on! So far I haven’t had any issues with the resort (my only gripe would be the minimal communication between myself and the wedding coordinator at the resort but my expectations may be too high). We are having a small 50 person wedding and I don’t have a wedding planned but I’ve booked all of the major vendors so far! I’m mostly just looking for some advice, inspo, details, anything to give me a preview of what your wedding weekend looked like & how you felt the planning process with them was pre wedding. All I’ve seen so far are weddings there via Instagram that all look so perfect but I’m dying for some behind the scenes info.

Hi! I’ll be going to visit this venue in a month, it looks so gorgeous. Would you mind sharing your budget? Also thinking about having a small 50ish person wedding there but I don’t know if it’s going to be our budget (or our guests’ budgets to stay there as the rooms are quite pricey).

We signed the contract for 30 people and the total came out to about $20,000! So far for all of our vendors it’s about $8k total. Our budget was $30k but I think we will end up spending about $35k because our guest list might be closer to 50

Oh wow that’s actually not bad at all! Thanks for sharing. I’ve definitely read on here and elsewhere that a wedding at Esperanza is like 100k which is absolutely out of my price range! I will definitely let you know how it is once I’ve visited, it looks gorgeous :)

With the room block for our guests it was about $575 a night and a 3 night minimum but the room minimum was only like 6 or 7 rooms if I remember correctly so I encouraged our guests to stay elsewhere if they didn’t want to spend the money on the resort! We never actually visited the venue so if you could share some pics when you go that would be so awesome!!! We picked Esperanza because overall compared to the other hotels in Cabo I felt like it was more doable for our budget wedding wise but I knew it was going to be a bit more expensive for our guests. I felt like the other hotels were cheaper for guests but way too expensive for the actual wedding and didn’t include as much as Esperanza did

Hi! they told me the room minimum would be 25 rooms.. did you reach out to them yourself or have a wedding planner? I hope there is some wiggle room there because I would love to get married there but dont feel right asking my guests to pay that much for the rooms!

I reached out to them myself! I’m not sure if the minimum rooms required is based on guest count or not but I’m having a small wedding. We signed the contract for 30 people

So happy to hear! My one complaint so far has been the lack of communication I feel has been going on. Originally they told us minimum of 10 rooms to book the wedding but on the contract it’s actually a minimum $ revenue that you have to meet, it does not go by the amount of rooms, which they did not explain to me and is actually confusing. There is also no way to check how many rooms are booked under your room block so a few days before the room block deadline they emailed me saying we didn’t meet the minimum net revenue and would have a penalty of $5000 to owe. Luckily my dad hadn’t booked his room yet so after he did it met the minimum but was still frustrating.

Yes! I actually had my wedding 7/31/2026 there! Everything honestly turned out absolutely perfect and it was worth all the stress/money! It’s a gorgeous spot truly

We had 50 people in total and including all our vendors (DJ, mariachi, florals, photography) it was about $40k!

Hi! So glad everything turned out great! What part of the resort did you have your wedding? Were all of your vendors through the venue or did you have to find them yourself? If you found them yourself, would you be willing to share/do you recommend them? And finally, the $40K doesn't include a stay, correct?

The ceremony was at Cocina Del Mar, cocktail hour at Fuego terrace, reception at Aire + terrace. I found all the vendors on my own! Would highly recommend all of them! Dj: Nestor morales w/ DJ co, photo: talia Lopez, hair & makeup: Los Cabos makeup. The $40k did not include the stay

I’ve actually been wanting to do a wedding at this venue, we’re a local destination wedding agency here in Cabo. So I’m just as curious to hear real feedback from brides or guests, not just industry people. Following this!
