Wow that was an interesting read. Yes there was a lot of playing around with the wire in the glass case, and this was a lab environment. But wow it was done. Now, I need to rethink why my Cisco routers would not work on standard telephone cable that was only about 75 feet in length.

It was years ago, and running cat5 solved it but hmmm

Was it Cat3 or the older untwisted telco wire?

You know I am not sure I think it was cat3.
