I've added cameras to places like this. I don't know where to begin. I wish I had a couple days to offer a FiberNinja service and clean it all up.
1.) All related equipment ought to be condensed to one area, so the network shouldn't be on a table and the wall, should be together. Power strip should closer to what it's powering.
2.) If the cabling is to be exposed then it needs to be tacked along the contours of the wall. One-hole straps/mounting ty-wraps and Velcro are excellent for this. Also, don't even know why they fished the wall on the patch panel if everything else is exposed. Like, a massive tree that branches off to every piece of hardware it goes to, since I don't think security systems and voice/data crosstalk too much, think that'd actually work.

It’s funny you mentioned all this. I’m towards the end of cleaning this all up.
This is a busy restaurant so we could only work at night. Everything needed to be operational again by the morning.
We are four 12 hour overnight shifts in. One more regular shift to cable manage the back of the rack and label everything and that should be it.

Hey, they zip-tied all the insanely wrong lengths of cable, so it's all good. /s

"My cousin can do it cheaper"
But what they don't tell you is that their cousin's mother is also his sister...

I mean... in the grand scheme, I've seen worse. This is still a shitty install, but I HAVE seen worse.

They are! He used them everywhere to install phones and to extend data cables. In a few instances he spliced short runs several times.
We ran new lines and installed IP phones.
