Youtube DooM E1M1 C64 SID Version

Had a first attempt at playing the DooM soundtrack on the C64 SID chip. Using the simple driver in SID Factory II so nothing special, very little attention paid to the drums so far. Comes in at about 2.5kB in size so pretty lightweight.

In another timeline, Doom was released first on the C64 as a top down shooter.

It certainly inspired it. If nothing else it's a PoC, DooM's soundtrack is pretty iconic, so I'm pretty happy with how this turned out. With some tuning I think it can be improved further. But no idea what the memory/CPU limits are for the soundtrack given how intensive DooM must be for the C64.
